From our flagship International Applied Geochemistry Symposium to meetings of interest across the globe, explore where the applied geochemistry community comes together.

Our flagship event
International Applied Geochemistry Symposium
The IAGS is the Association's premier gathering — a biennial symposium that brings the global applied geochemistry community together to share research, build networks, and shape the future of the discipline.
AAG members lead and shape this prestigious scientific event.
Held biennially in locations around the world.
A forum for the exchange of scientific knowledge and research ideas.
Showcases exploration and environmental geochemistry through reviews, reports, case studies, and conference proceedings.
Expands professional networks across industry, universities, research organisations, government and consultants.
Promotes student research and network building.

31st International Applied Geochemistry Symposium
September 12–16, 2026
Beijing, China
Past symposia
Past IAGSs and other AAG-sponsored events dating back to 1966 — when the symposium was known as the IGES (International Geochemical Exploration Symposium) — can be found in the Members Area, together with all the associated abstracts.
