Regular Members are non-voting members of the Association, actively engaged in applied geochemistry at the time of application and for at least two years prior to joining. Regular members receive the flagship journal Geochemistry, Exploration, Analysis, Environment, the newsletter EXPLORE, and the magazine Elements.

Same dues as Regular Members, with voting rights

By country

Regular Members who are established and actively engaged in applied geochemistry can apply to become Fellows. Fellows receive the flagship journal Geochemistry, Exploration, Analysis, Environment, the newsletter EXPLORE, and the magazine Elements and have voting rights.

Eligibility for election

  • Be nominated by existing AAG Fellows
  • Hold a Bachelor's or equivalent degree in pure or applied science from a recognized institution
  • Have at least six years of training and professional experience in pure or applied science, including at least two years applying, developing, researching, or teaching methods of applied geochemistry
  • Be an active practitioner of applied geochemistry at the time of application

Students enrolled in an approved course of instruction in pure or applied science, and Post-Doctoral Fellows (PDF) actively researching or teaching applied geochemistry at a recognized institution are non-voting members and receive the flagship journal Geochemistry, Exploration, Analysis, Environment and the newsletter EXPLORE.

Reduced dues for retired professionals

Retired professionals wishing to stay engaged pay reduced dues and do not receive the full range of AAG publications. Senior Fellows are voting members of the Association whereas Senior Members are not.
